CALM Collective specializes in storytelling beyond the studio. Our team is able to work in diverse conditions, austere environments and work with minimal equipment. CALM cinematographer, Corban Lundborg does just that in this storytelling piece titled Fortunate Son. Corban shares Senior Airman Joseph LeVeille's story for their final production piece at the Army's 2022 Hilda I. Clayton Best Combat Camera Competition at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia. The annual multi-day international competition tests the physical, tactical and technical proficiency of combat camera specialists around the world. Tech. Sgt. Corban Lundborg and Senior Airman Joseph LeVeille represented the 4th Combat Camera Squadron from the Air Force Reserve, winning first place in final video and in the over all competition, bringing home the title "2022 Best Combat Camera". In the gallery above are Corban's 12 best photos from the competition, which judges competitors on still and video capabilities.
The CALM Co. team has returned from South Africa after Corban and Anele's traditional Xhosa wedding, hosted at Lombardini Lodge in Jeffrey's Bay, SA. The couple legally married in 2018 but due to an Air Force deployment, immigration and a pandemic, they had to postpone the ceremony. While living in South Africa for an extended time, CALM's director of photography, Corban, captured some of the nations wonders. Below is a small portfolio of images produced by CALM.

When CALM artist Anele Lundborg booked her first video game role she never imagined that it would be for PlayStation and for one of their best selling games of all time, 'Horizon Forbidden West'. We are beyond thrilled to share the news of the game's release in which Anele plays the character of 'Bulma' (who prefers to be called Boomer). Boomer is on the autism spectrum; she's well-meaning, energetic, utterly brilliant, but odd by most conventional standards. Just about everyone in her life struggles to relate to her, and cannot fathom Bulma’s fascination with chemistry, and the more exciting of chemical reactions – explosives. Aloy (the game's hero) takes a shine to her precisely because she seems disinterested in Aloy – a refreshing change, given recent events (in the game). Artists Corban and Anele Lundborg team up in this video to share their art through multimedia. The spoken word was written and preformed by Anele while Corban painted a bomber jacket inspired by the words. The bomber jacket is part of a larger collection Corban began in 2021 inspired by WWII aviators. CALM's creative director, Corban Lundborg, was commissioned by Western Carolina University to create a mural of the Smoky Mountains using recycled materials. The artwork is featured in the entrance of their brand new University Center. Corban's art is a representation of the mountain-scape that surrounds the university. The artwork was created at Corban's home studio in Atlanta, Georgia and then transported up to North Carolina by trailer. He used recycled pallet wood to create the sky, plywood and OSB for the mountains and accented with scrap metal. A re-used sign was mounted in the corner to lead students into the UC. Corban's brother Ian Lundborg, a wood-worker based in Duluth, Minnesota flew down to help with the final installation. More of Corban's artwork can viewed at:
The CALM team was excited to visit their friends at Scott Pryor Law and produce some company headshots for the team. CALM photographer, Corban, captured the frames on-site using minimal equipment, making for an easy and painless picture day. Click the photos to view in full ratio.
