When CALM artist Anele Lundborg booked her first video game role she never imagined that it would be for PlayStation and for one of their best selling games of all time, 'Horizon Forbidden West'. We are beyond thrilled to share the news of the game's release in which Anele plays the character of 'Bulma' (who prefers to be called Boomer). Boomer is on the autism spectrum; she's well-meaning, energetic, utterly brilliant, but odd by most conventional standards. Just about everyone in her life struggles to relate to her, and cannot fathom Bulma’s fascination with chemistry, and the more exciting of chemical reactions – explosives. Aloy (the game's hero) takes a shine to her precisely because she seems disinterested in Aloy – a refreshing change, given recent events (in the game). Anele's initial audition was for a very different character and upon receiving a callback she went to audition in person for PlayStation/Guerrilla Games in Santa Monica, California. They booked her a few days later and she had her first Motion Capture and Voice Over Session at OM Studios. She later had a second voice over session at a sound stage in Atlanta, Georgia.
