 At CALM Co we have been working on our first documentary series, 'Gratitude'. Simply put, this is a documentary that brings together art (in the form of paintings) and life, with the sole purpose of embodying the spirit of gratitude through the art of living a life. How do we explore the spirit of gratitude? By visually magnifying the essence of reflection upon one's life and how that process can be beautiful; comparable to the strokes of a brush on our canvas of life. We interview someone who has a captivating and inspiring story to tell about an obstacle they've overcome and how their life is still lived in thanks/gratitude despite it all. We follow their daily life for two days and interview someone closest to them (to support their story if necessary). And finally, the CALM Co team hosts a surprise reveal of a painting of our subject inspired by who they are and their story; demonstrating gratitude-in-action from the team and also from our subject in receiving the gift of the painting.
