We're almost at the finish line. Our second short film 'LEAVE', inspired by the true story of co-director Corban Lundborg, is shaping up. After looking at everything we had from our days of principal photography we felt that we needed more scenes to successfully visually explore where our protagonist comes from and where he's headed. So, we decided to book one last day of shooting with our lead actor.

Anele books voice work for star trek: Picard, Star Trek: Short Treks & Star Trek: Discovery3/18/2020
ADR Voice bookings always result in humbling work for me because I get to see how much detail and love is put into making film & TV. I'm always grateful to be able to use my talent in a way that I enjoy, for stories that I'm fond of. Although I'm not extensively clued up on the world of Star Strek, the more work that I do for them the more interested I get to be a full on Star Trek fan (and I mean down to learning Romulan). I don't often take photos while working because sometimes we have to sign NDA's, so I hope these updates will suffice.
Corban and I invest some of what we make outside of CALM back into CALM, this has helped us to continue to build CALM. Being able to do work like this also really helps my perspective as filmmaker on what it takes to make good art, why cultivating a good work ethic will help keep you working and why learning as much as you can from all angles of filmmaking can help you create something beautiful.
After 6 days of filming, we have completed production for the principal photography of our second short film. This one was such fun to shoot mainly because unlike our previous short, LEAVE is inspired by a true story. Other factors that made filming this exciting was that we had a bigger cast, more locations and learned a lot from our first narrative offering that we took into consideration when filming LEAVE. A month and a half has passed since we wrote the first line on the page and we're now moving into post-production. LEAVE is co-written and co-directed by Corban and Anele Lundborg. A special thanks to our friends who helped, and made the process of this whole experience as smooth as possible. Community is so important. Above are some BTS (behind thee scenes) photos of our production days. Enjoy! CALM TeamAs promised, here's an update about the film festival run for 'Longing For Eden'. We're so excited to share the news that we have been selected to Holly Shorts monthly screening series for the month of February. Our film will screen on February 20th, 2020 at around 9:30pm at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. Tickets will be available soon, just keep on checking on the Longing For Eden page on our website for more ticket info. Thanks for all your support, we hope to see you there! CALM TeamWarriors Road is dedicated to teaching veterans basic horsemanship skills and about the equestrian world. I heard rumors about this program after my 2019 deployment and I knew I wanted to get involved. I reached out to the coordinator, Andre Andrews and after our first trail ride, I saw that his passion for this project was inspiring and I knew more veterans needed to know about Warriors Road.
The Poster
The final cut for 'Longing For Eden' is done, and after going through the process of editing and figuring out the film's tone and what the team wanted it to represent stylistically, they then were able to put together the poster. We've recently wrapped our first short film, "Longing for Eden", this marks CALM Collective's first narrative short. We started off our creative process by producing the documentary 'Gratitude' and have always known that we also wanted to tell our own stories by sharing our writing and other creative skills in filmmaking, and we made the next obvious move: pre- production of our first narrative.
Thank you so much to everyone who was able to make it out to CALM's first event. We are thrilled that we were able to share this moment with so many new faces and people who we love and care about. The night was a huge success and if you're ever in North Hollywood's Arts District pop into AMP Rehearsal Studios to check out Corban's murals and grab an amazing cup of coffee at AMP Coffee.
When I started out in acting, I had no idea that ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) was even a job in acting, I've always wanted to do voice-over work but had no idea that I would start out in ADR.
