At CALM Co we’re passionate about playing a part in helping develop the next generation of artists who aspire to create art that amplifies the heart of the human condition. In light of this desire, we have ARTIST DEVELOPMENT SERVICES.

Creative Direction & Artist Development is managed by Anele Lundborg. The aim of this service is to help novice talent in the performing arts discover and develop their voice.

Anele developed Jazmine's acting portfolio by creative directing her headshot session (looks, makeup, retouching etc), her reel scenes (as writer, director, producer) and building a website for her. The process for her is described below. Each process is unique to the artist's needs.

Finally... Step Three | Acting Profiles and Website

Anele assisted Jazmine in creating her acting profiles and website in order to get started in auditioning for roles and seeking representation. It's important to note that Jazmine takes acting classes and continually works on her craft; this artist development process was focused on helping her in the business of acting.

Jazmine got 18 (lead and supporting role) audition requests in her first month of using her new acting reel and headshots. This was also the first time she had used any casting website.

CREATIVE DIRECTION & ARTIST DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

STEP 1:
Book a date for a consultation and once approved we will accept your $250 deposit along with the booking. It will be a 45 - 90 minute consultation.

Consultation:
Anele will set up a 45 - 90 minute initial consultation meeting. The objective of the meeting is to help guide you in ‘next-steps’ to take your art to the next level creatively or professionally. You’re encouraged to read the about section of this website to learn more about Anele and Corban’s area of expertise which range from performance to visual and fine art.

STEP 2:
Assessing which service or combination of our services will be best for your needs, and tailoring our services according to those needs in line with our capabilities (filmmaking, photography, branding, creative direction, writing, producing) and your budget (please note that we currently do not accept budgets that are below $800). We will then send you a plan and budget for your approval, up to 2 budget & plan revisions can be made. At this point we will also work out a payment plan for you if necessary.

Range of Services Offered Include:

Basic Needs:
If you are in need of headshots/photos, or a high quality/cinematic bio video about you or your art for your website or social media. We will produce and film/shoot the content/material that you ned.

Actor Service:
This service is specifically aimed at those who want to start learning about the business of acting and start developing a portfolio for acting. We will asses where you're at, offer a business of acting class and see where we can start in developing the tools for your acting portfolio according to your budget.

Creative Direction:
This service is aimed at artists who have developed a portfolio of work of some kind (even if it's on social media) and just need some fine tuning to help them meet their creative or professional goals in branding themselves, a project that they are currently working on or one that they would like to get off the ground. We will produce and film/shoot the content/material you need to help you achieve your goal/s.

Artist Development:
This service is aimed at artists who have developed a portfolio of work of some kind (even if it's on social media) and need help in further developing their portfolio of work and brand. Anele will set up a 1 - 2 hour creative meeting after your initial consultation for an in-depth analysis about who you are personally, as an artist, and what you hope to achieve with your art next. We will then assess which area of development is of the highest priority and help you in developing that area according to our knowledge in acting, filmmaking, branding & fine art toward achieving that next creative goal. We will also produce, film/shoot content/material according to that set goal.

STEP 3:
Execute the plan and services for your creative direction and artist development process in a timely manner, according to the schedule and/or payment plan.

Artist Development and Creative Direction Services Policy

Payments

We use square for all payments. A deposit is required for all bookings. Outstanding balances due on the day of your first session as scheduled according to your development plan.

Accepted Cards
Square works with any US-issued and most internationally-issued magstripe or chip cards bearing a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or UnionPay logo. Square also supports mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.

Bookings & Cancellations

After you request to book a date for your consultation, please complete step 2 of the booking process (if your deposit is not automatically paid after booking) to make your non-refundable deposit payment. Your date is ONLY secured AFTER you've paid your deposit. (If the requested date doesn’t work we will contact you to book another date with you before you move on to step 2 of the booking process).
We will hold your date for 72 hours while waiting for your deposit payment to process. If your doesn't process within 72 hours after we’ve accepted your consultation date booking we will cancel the booking and release the date.
If you need to reschedule your booked date after you’ve already paid your deposit, we will transfer your deposit to your new date only if you let us know 5 working days or more before your original booked date; if you fail to notify us in time, your deposit will be forfeited. Only 1 reschedule is permitted per booking. If you cancel your second booked date for any reason, your deposit will be forfeited. If you are a NO SHOW on the booked date of your consultation, your deposit will be forfeited.
The total cost of your artist development process will most likely range between $1400.00 - $3500.00 depending on what areas need to be developed for your brand and over all presentation of your art and you as an artist to the world. All of this will be discussed during your consultation, and Anele will try her best to work something out for you that fits your budget. During this time an initial schedule & timeline will also be discussed, this is a loose schedule to make sure that the process is moving along at an acceptable pace for both parties.

Please Note: A consultation is the first step to the process of developing you as an artist and important to moving things along, including working out a schedule for the work involved for all the work we will be doing towards your development. Anele shapes her work schedule around her artist development consultations, so this is a necessary step.

Please make sure that you pay your deposit with careful consideration, once a deposit has been forfeited there are no other arrangements that can be made. However, we understand that life can be tricky sometimes, so if any re-booking arrangement is made after a deposit qualifies to be forfeited, please note that it is out of the generosity of our team, it is not a requirement or a guarantee that you’ll get another booking/consultation date, in other words, please be kind and patient.

Please consider your consultation/booking as a booked job and take the necessary precautions that will enable you to follow through. Anele and her team appreciate your consideration!

Reshoots/Refunds
Anele has the full creative direction of all shoots and final edits throughout the artist development process. We do not offer reshoots, revisions or refunds other than for technical failures or malfunctions. That being said, please know that your voice matters here, this is a collaborative effort and is all about helping you achieve successful results as much as is in our ability to do so, and it is therefore your responsibility to clearly communicate what your goals and wishes are as we go through each step of the process. If you have any concerns please communicate clearly & kindly with Anele and/or our studio team, in advance of and/or during all shoots and consultations/classes. If you have any concerns during the shoots or you don't like the way your makeup is being styled, please speak up so that the studio team can accommodate your needs.

Talent Release Forms
On shoot days all talent must sign a talent release form in order for Calm Collective LLC to freely use final retouched headshots and edited scenes on our website and social media.
